I am a fan of the show since 2007 and I am going to miss it when it will be over, and as an ex chair shipper, I was wondering, what kept you rooting for that combination? Like I understand how people would like them together in season 1 and 2 but afterwards the writers screwed them up. I started rooting for Dair instead and I'm just wondering why do you still like Chair. Thank you :D
Wow. I’ve never realized how hard this is for me to put into words. Chair, to me, is something special. When I started this show it occurred to me that these were two characters who separately I would (usually) absolutely hate. But for some reason, I was drawn into Gossip Girl because of them. They’re perfect together. It’s so clear to see the love. I think that even when the writers screwed it up, there was a string that pulled many along. Because how can you let go of Chuck and Blair? They make you want to believe in love, that there is one perfect match for all of us. I don’t think their relationship is just sexual, like so many people say. It’s emotional and intellectual. They’re both like evil geniuses. But look how much he has changed because of the relationship. See how they look at each other, I want someone to look at me like that. Simply, they make me believe. They’re captivating. And I see true love.
